Finding knowledgeable, trustworthy care for exotic pets can be incredibly difficult & every pet deserves to be cared for by someone who understands their unique needs.

Many of you know me through my passion for dogs but what you may not know is that I've also had a lifelong love for exotic animals. Over the years I've shared my home with many different exotic pets, and they've always held a special place in my heart. My absolute favorites were my multiple mouse colonies. I could honestly spend hours watching their little personalities, building elaborate habitat for them, and observing their fascinating social interactions. 

That passion combined with my commitment to providing exceptional animal care made expanding into exotic boarding feel like the perfect next step to add to our services.

Just like everything we do at Barks & Recreation, this will be a boutique service. This means that we will intentionally accept only a limited number of exotic boarders at one time so that every guest receives the individualized attention, care, and monitoring they deserve. Because of this model, we will likely book out further than you would typically expect.
